One fine day we are chatting in a coffee shop and my friend 'FK' asked me. This is part of our conversation
FK: Do you believe in such weather in Malaysia can grow grapes?
Me: Of cos not!!
FK: I can prove to you, there is a farm near Seremban that can grow grapes
Me: Don bluff...
Fk: OK, then we'll go next week
So I made an agreement with him and we will go together on the following week.
Upon arrival, there was a sign on the gate that said the farm close, so we tried to call the number provided to ask permission to enter the farm.
The owner answered the call and asked how many of us entering. We had a total of 5person, so she agreed and charges us RM5 per person for the entrance fees. Since we went there all the way, we still went in although she charged us.
The owner brought us around the farm and showed us the stages of the grape's growth.
Stage 1 : Baby
Stage 2: Getting bigger
Stage 3: Changing colours
Stage 4: End of growing process and ready for sale
Other then grapes, they also have apples, corns and wax apples(jambu air)
So we had a chance to walk around and taste the fruits that is grown in Malaysian weather.
The farm is very big and the owner says that normally they are only open for tour agencies that bring groups of tourist. That is the reason why their main gate is close to avoid people just come in and do things like this is their grandfather's farm.
This is only a part of the farm.
After the 45 mins tour, we were brought to a small house which is located at the top of the hill to rest. They sell all the fruits that can be found in the farm.
Other then just selling grapes by itself, they make it into jams and the best was the grape juice
Original grape jam without preservative
And we order the fresh juice which made on the spot(no water added)
Yea.. is done..
Sweet and juicy. This small cup cost RM2 but is really worth to have a try
That is a very enjoying day and we learnt something new. After that we proceed to Seremban for dinner and went home later.
