Day 1 – Bangkok City

This is my first time traveling to Thailand and the first city that we are visiting is Bangkok, the city of shopping paradise. Upon arrival, we proceed to our hotel for check-in. Kingston Suites located at Sukhumvit Soi 15

Pink Taxi!! It's so cute.. they have orange, yellow and also green taxi..

The journey from the airport to town is just a mere 45minutes and most of the time delayed due to traffic jam. So 4 of us took a metered taxi from the airport to the town which cost us 450bath that is considered quite reasonable.

Kingston Suites-Bangkok boutique hotel, with a European style façade and motifs. The services and the design are so lovely and nice. Especially the bed is so comfortable

Free tuk tuk service from Hotel to BTS(subway) station, anytime upon request.

After check in we are going for Shopping!!! Excited to the MAX!!! The nearest BTS from our hotel is Asok station so we took the train and headed to National Stadium station, which is just a few stops away.

BTS tickets

Once we get out from the station we saw Amarin shopping center with the big bear.

IMG_9124

Now only I understood why did people always describe Bangkok as ‘’The Jam City’’

IMG_9125

My first lunch in Bangkok was not tomyam, not mango rice, but guess what??
Haha is McDonald!!!

Uncle McDonald says Sawadeekap

IMG_9127

We did the same thing in other country that was to try out their special burger and this time we are going to have pork burger.

IMG_9137

The burger we ordered. 4 of us eat the same burger! Samurai BBQ pork burger. Is delicious and it was so juicy!!

IMG_9139

After a very filling lunch we were filled with energy .. Hehehe.. The only thing on my mind is SHOPPING, SHOPPING and MORE SHOPPING!!!!

The famous 4face Buddha is just next to the Amarin shopping center which located in front of Isetan and their culture believes Buddha bring lucks, health and wealth so most of the people pass by will just stop for a while just for to offer their respect. Even those in the cars or busses will bow their heads when they pass by.

IMG_9153

Even they have dancers to dance for Buddha upon donation received.

IMG_9151

And I saw people take this as a drinks and some washing their hands and faces. Anyone know what is this for?

IMG_9159

Center World is just opposite the road. Aawww… all the shopping mall is very near to each other and just a stone's throw away.Even LV is there too.

IMG_9162

Along the road, this uncle has caught my attention. He can make your name into a keychain or necklaces in less than 1minute. This i so incredible!!And it only cost for 40bath

IMG_9174

Yey! My name is done.

IMG_9176

And see.. is jam again at the back there....or it had never stopped.

IMG_9178

And today there as a big event held at Center World Shopping center. I guess this is a racing competition

IMG_9169

Wondering this battery can stand until the end of the track. I mean maybe haha...who knows this is maybe a battery competition....Haha

IMG_9171

Most of the branded stuffs you can find here in the Center World and this shopping center is really big and we did not walk much here cos we plan to the most reputable shopping mall (or was is only to us).

IMG_9164

Another 5minute walk, we reached Platinum Mall. This is the place that we longed for!!Once we entered we totally forget about taking pictures and filling our stomach. Shopping crazily for more then 3hours until we felt tired and we took a pit stop in the food court on the 6th floor of the mall.

IMG_9185

Everything that was sold here is very very cheap! Quality wise, you will need to hunt around but bear in mind you might not find the same shop again as it is like a whole maze in there. Most of the shops are selling different style of clothing which u will not able to get the same design in other shops. Really *heart* Platinium mall to the MAXXXX!!!!
Ooops...first half day in Bangkok and we got this...

After shopping we went back to our hotel for a short break and continued our first night with the fantastic view of Lebua State Tower.
