Lost in Everland

WARNING!!! This post contains more than 100 photos.

We woke up to a sunny day, so it means that, "We ARE going to Everland."
We took our breakfast provided by the guest house, paired with Starbucks Frappucino.

We then set out to the subway station. Along the way, we saw a lonely octopus waiting to be served.

IMG_2701

We both wore the Felix collection we bought from SPAO yesterday. Equipped with an umbrella that was provided as well.

IMG_2705

T-ARA advertistment board

IMG_2706

Oopsss, the group of Smurfs got caught in the subway??

IMG_2708

In no time, we reached the Gangnam station(Line 2) where we would take a bus to Everland.

IMG_2711

We took bus no. 5002 which we waited for about 5mins.
You can find the transports available here.

IMG_2714

The journey took about 50mins. An ancient looking Cathedral along the way

IMG_2722

We finally arrived at the 'interchange' station to board the shuttle bus to Everland.

IMG_2733

Ja jang..We are here..

IMG_2744

Signboard with different prices, you can see the detail pricing here. You can even print a discount coupon which we did.(Normal price W38 000 and W35 000 after discount) The funny thing was the date stated on the coupon is just valid until December 2008 which we only saw when we were about to make the payment, but the staff still let us use it. So kind of her.

Korea 27-31 July 20111

Once we pass through the entrance, there were maps in different languages,

Korea 27-31 July 20112

but obviously we took the one in English(park ambassador Nichkun from 2pm and Victoria from f(x), funny thing that they are both foreigners)

IMG_4320

There is a Summer Splash party just for summer, you can also take a photo there but the place was occupied so we'll just make do with this

IMG_2754

The map of Everland. The park is divided in to Global Fair, American Adventure, Magic-Land, European Adventure and Zoo-Topia

IMG_2756

Mascot near the entrance, unlike Disneyland he seems a bit lonely without the long queue. So, we decided to take a photo with him. The 35 on his head means he is already 35 years old. Maybe that's why. You should try to get rid of it for a change. :p

IMG_2766

Trademark of Everland, even f(x) did a MV here

IMG_2770

The decorations of the tree back then is filled with flowers

Now filled with dolphins instead

IMG_2773

Just beside it we have Pororo and friends on a 3D adventure

IMG_2775

Cheese stall selling ice-cream? There was no cheese ice cream when we asked(just for fun)

IMG_2778

Too early for lunch...

IMG_2779

The staff invited us to take pictures as it is vacant

IMG_2786

Mascots??

IMG_2790

A couple of minutes walking, we reached Africa

IMG_2798

This is what we saw when we first entered, seems like dinosaur age to me

IMG_2810

Moving on there are many types of animals and reptiles such as

A cute fox

IMG_2811

An alligator that is as still as a log

IMG_2818

Disgusting hyenas(maybe I m too into Lion King)

IMG_2821

Porcupines

IMG_2840

Ostrich, oops sorry, it's a donation box

IMG_2828

Not forgetting a bunch of penguins that is either learning to swim or just showing off

Korea 27-31 July 20115

You can also imitate the animals

Korea 27-31 July 20116

The path will the direct you straight to an endless collections of items for souvenirs

Penguins?? W11 000

IMG_2845

Or white tiger's paw W20 000 (which i brought home later)

IMG_2848

Once we exited, we were greeted by an African Wild Ass showing it's ass

IMG_2851

The first ride we took was the skyline ride(forgot the name), with our Everland wristbands

Korea 27-31 July 20118

We continued walking and we came to a giant cage hosting 2 polar bears, and we thought they were only in the South Pole, or North?? Whatever...
One was walking back and forth while the other keeps swimming,

Korea 27-31 July 20119

Waterfall that separates the tigers from the lions, I heard that there was a liger(lion + tiger) too, but did not manage to get a glimpse of it

IMG_2875

There was also a dog with a pony tail

IMG_2879

Moving on we saw a crowd, so we budge in as well where we came to saw a zoo keeper feeding a penguin. She was speaking all the way in Korean tough. What surprised me was the penguin swallowed the whole fish (about 20cm) just like that, without even chewing. An eye opener to us

IMG_2883

Just beside it there was this arrogant seel

IMG_2886

There are parking for cars, motorbikes, bicycles and the latest trend strollers' parking

IMG_2889

Rated 18sx, maybe it is just climbing over

IMG_2890

Past through the friendly ranch

IMG_2895

We came to the Amazon Express but did not go for the ride as we have no extra clothes to change and plenty of exploring to do.
The logo is just awesome

IMG_2907

Waiting area, you can see the time needed to queue and there is always a staff introducing the rides and inviting you to go on board. It is all in Korean but i guess that's what they say

Korea 27-31 July 201110

We went to the stall selling rice ice balls

IMG_2910

We went for the lemon and lime flavour
W2700

IMG_2914

More souvenir shops or items

Keychains

IMG_2917

Pens

IMG_2916

A jeep that will bring you in as 'animals' for other animals to see
The animals are free to roam around but you are in the cage, get what i mean?
(sorry for the blur photo, i was taking this photo while walking and i thought of taking another photo later but did not have a chance as the waiting time was 30mins and that was how i missed the liger...Damn...one of my regrets)

IMG_2918

In the petting zoo

Korea 27-31 July 201112

By this time, our stomach started to growl, so we stopped at the Food Fair

IMG_2927

T-Express view(did not have a chance to ride this as I had no partner), there was a long queue but the waiting time was only 10mins, quite efficient IMO

Korea 27-31 July 201113

We ordered a set of chicken chop with mushroom sauce and a bowl of mushroom soup. It is quite a big portion plus you also get free side dishes buffet and free flow of water

IMG_2933

We then came to another attraction that is the house that spins 360 degrees, something new to us

Korea 27-31 July 201114

Main event....behold.....Summer Splash PARTYYYYY!!!!
There are raincoats provided, but from what I saw that seems useless, everyone that takes part in it was soaked up to their underwears

Korea 27-31 July 201115

We stayed at a corner over seeing the fun for about 5mins, it finally stopped

IMG_2976

So we went down the step thinking to leave to other locations, BUT....it started again..... so we went back to our little corner and waited for another 5-7mins. Everyone was having so much fun not only kids but adults too. One plus point I noticed is that Koreans really take care of their kids very very well. They would play together, piggy back them around and will stay by their side always. I don't notice this much in Malaysia so +1 to Koreans.

IMG_2977

Last view of the party

IMG_2979

Photo spot on the way,

IMG_2984-1

We set out for the next attraction, the garden taken from the Ferris Wheel(was closed when I visited)

Garden

Approaching the garden

Korea 27-31 July 201117

Choo choo train, chucking down the track

IMG_2990

Sunflowers, and some lonely ones without the petals

Korea 27-31 July 201116

A fountain in the middle and a cartoon village

IMG_2993

Windmill and the stage of Four Seasons Garden

IMG_3002

How much time do they need to sort out the colours and the arrangements?

IMG_3008

Colourful combinations

IMG_3012

Busy taking pictures,

IMG_3018

A stranded ship at a wrong place and a wrong time

IMG_3021

Greek inspired fountain

IMG_3033

Lonely statue, but at least there is a shelter for her

IMG_3034

How does it feel staying here surrounded by tons of flowers?

IMG_3039

Flower among the thorns

IMG_3042

Pink lady

IMG_3044

Growing to the sunlight

IMG_3046

Fountain in the middle of the Rose Garden

IMG_3055

Look how organized it is

IMG_3062

A perfect photo shot location, but unfortunately there were only two of us at that time

IMG_3064

Castle in the middle of the garden

IMG_3071

Entering the Labyrinth, there we saw two statues making out, so we left them to continue what they were doing

Korea 27-31 July 201121

More flowers, seemed like it's never ending

Korea 27-31july2011(2)2

To counter the hotness of the sun, walk through this cooling passage

IMG_3105

A bokehlicious shot of me

IMG_3113

And Kathy

IMG_3118

Found a competitor in another souvenir shop

IMG_3122

Summer Splash mascots

IMG_3126

Seems like the Pirate Ship ride but instead of just going back and forth, it is paired with a 360 degree turn as well

IMG_3129

Peter Pan ride, there was a staff dresses in a Peter Pan costume, and was dancing the whole time. She was the only staff working for the ride, she opens the door for tourist to enter, dances while the tourist are entering, makes sure they are all buckled up, starts the ride, dancing throughout the ride, when the ride ends, opens the door for them to exit, make sure they have all left safely and the process goes on and on and on
Do not seem like an easy job, compared to other theme parks...Salute

Korea 27-31 July 201122

While waiting in line, cute girl without 'tuning' all geared up. Cute pink shirt and shoes - checked, dolphin face painting - checked, pop corn - checked and she's good to go

IMG_3130

In front of the Flume Ride

IMG_3145

We passed by an attraction that is not that crowded, the small world. IMO there is no difference to all the other small worlds I went, maybe not my cup of tea

Korea 27-31 July 201123

Immediately after the exit we came to Aesop Village

IMG_3177

Another fountain in front of it

IMG_3155

View from the Elephant ride, not much as it is all covered with trees

IMG_3159

We bought a cup of Snow Fruits to quench our thirst
W2500

Korea 27-31 July 201124

The ferris wheel that was closed on that day, could have taken many nice shots up there, regret no 2

IMG_3180

Finally I had take the initiative to get at least a more adventures ride, so here we are at the Hurricane and as you all can tell, I was up there alone

Korea 27-31 July 201125

We decided to leave after that, so we went grabbed a bite on the fattest looking hot dog, which later we found out that it is stuffed in a bread. Although it was fried, the bread does not feel oily at all. The bread was crispy but the hot dog was just how a hot dog should taste

Korea 27-31 July 201126

We were back to the main area

IMG_3217

Took our stuffs stored in the locker, and found out that the umbrella that we left at the top of the locker went missing**hope the boss of our guest house not to get angry if she ever sees this**

Korea 27-31 July 201127

The happiest moment of one's life, when you had nothing to worry and be satisfied with only a balloon

IMG_3223

Last photo in front of the Dolphin Tree

IMG_3236

I am a happy man too as I got my 'tiger paw'

IMG_3238

We decided to catch a glimpse of Carribean Bay which is about 7mins walk away

IMG_3248

Marked on the itinerary of our next visit

IMG_3251

Looks so exciting in the promotional MV

Think you guys will be a bit tired reading such a long post, so stretch yourself, get a bite and come back for the real life incident of Lost in Everland, or will it be outside Everland...Till then ciao...
